MedStars Honors Program
July 8-11, 2009
MedStars is an OHSU health science career exploration for
entering high school seniors and early college students from
rural Oregon sponsored by the Oregon AHEC Program Office and
4 regional AHEC centers. This summer residential experience
offers an opportunity for students to experience health careers
with hands-on activities, lectures and tours. DEADLINE: April 14, 2009

Spanish Healthcare Interpreter Program
The Oregon AHEC Spanish Health Care Interpreting Program
has been developed to address an emerging need for training
idetnified by Oregon health care emploeyrs serving increaseing
populations of low English proficiency (LEP) and non-Engligh
proficient (NEP) Spanish-speaking patients. This program was
developed to bring training to local communities across Oregon.
